|Transport in Sydney|
The best way to get around Sydney is on foot and ferry or other public transport. Avoid driving a car as parking is a real problem and hefty fines will be issued if one parks in the wrong spot. We recommend the Sydney City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus, which runs every 20 minutes on a fixed route which is of interest to the visitor. The ticket entitles to unlimited rides for a whole day. The nearest stop is only 3 minutes walk from Victoria Court. Alternatively one may use CityRail, buses or taxis, all within close range or your Sydney accommodation.
The transfer from the airport to the Victoria Court may be made by taxi or door-to-door shuttle bus. A a taxi takes about 20 minutes and costs around AUD $38 for the trip. The shuttle bus costs AUD $15 per person one way and leaves every half hour from outside the arrival hall. There is no need to make a reservation and there are several companies operating hotel transfer buses. Let us know at what time you will arrive and we will provide you with suggestions as to which mode of transport is most appropriate according to the time of the day. Once you are here, we may arange airport transfers for your departure.
When arriving from a long haul flight, it is not recommended to rent a car upon arrival at the airport, as lack of sleep and jet lag may impair concentration and may lead to road accidents and injury.
